Ohio Spring Classic was HOT!

The temperature was hot in the sale coliseum at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Wooster Ohio for the Ohio Spring Classic Sale. Bidding was also “hot” from internet, phone and live bidders and buyers! With all the buyers and bidders support, 79 lots (78 live head and 1 choice) averaged $2194.94.

ST Genetics was the buyer of the high selling consignment, Lot 3. This young genomic tested calf was consigned by Matthew Steiner, Marshallville, Ohio. Lively bidding from two internet bidders helped JX Pine-Tree Tyrion Hill 1709 {3}-ET reach $10,200.

ST Genetics and Matthew Steiner also paired for the second top selling lot, Lot 4. JX Pine-Tree World Cup 1307 1706 {4}-ET was again hotly contested by internet bidders, and stuck off at $7,200.

Next in the high selling line-up was Crossbrook Disco Nebula, consigned by Jon Prokop of Middleburgh, N.Y. She was purchased for $6500 by Select Sires, Inc.

In the top four was Dixie’s Joel Diamond-ET, Lot 58. From the partnership of Prokop, Kueffner and Packard, this heifer sold for $6,000 to a new partnership of Berry and Jenson, Ore.

A huge thank you to the consignors, bidders and buyers for the success of today’s sale.
