The Woodstock Dairy Reduction Sale was held in Janesville, Wis., on Friday, May 18, 2018. A cross-section of the herd’s milking and dry cows, in addition to bred heifers and a few younger calves sold. The Wayne Woods family, currently of Iola, Wis., will be moving west as they begin new endeavors. Hoard’s Dairyman, Fort Atkinson, Wis., was a guest consignor, with 15 head of bred heifers. A total of 131 head moved across the auction block, averaging $1112.
Fourteen different buyers took home Woodstock and Hoards genetics to add to their herds, hailing from Wisconsin, California, Iowa, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Top selling lots where 1560 and 1622, both for $1700. Lot 1560 was Woodstock Persevere JH Maid, selling to Hass Acres LLC of Evansville, Wis. Lot 1622, Woodstock Santana Pa Missoula, sold to Emma Buetel, Brodhead, Wis.


Tying for second top seller was 1106 and 1595, at $1650. Hass Acres LLC was the buyer of Lot 1106, Woodstock Jacinto Maid 1106-ET, and Junction Jerseys LLC, Hatley, Wis., purchased Lot 1595, Woodstock Amazing MJ Leslie.
