Seacord Farm Dispersal – A Great Ending

Seacord Dispersal

The weather changed from a hot week for the cows and crew, to a beautiful day, with low humidity, gentle breezes, and much Jersey breeder fellowship in Greenwich, N.Y.

A standing room only crowd filled the JMS tent at the Seacord Farm Dispersal to take home a part of the herd Richard and Brian Seacord have built. Internet bidders from all around the U.S. also watched the sale with hope of being the lucky buyer on a good cow family member, a deep pedigree, or the next show ring stopper!

The cattle themselves averaged $1,918.45 on 103 head and the sale averaged $1,611.72 with the semen added into the tally, on 125 total lots.

Lot 643 was the high selling individual of the day. Lyn and Peter Vail were the buyers of this E-91% "Action" daughter who sold for $8500.

Buyers from KY, ME, MD NE, NH, NY, OH, Ontario, CAN, PA, SC, VT, WI, and WV and bid in the crowd, phone, and internet on cattle and semen.

Volume buyers of the day were Jason Nagel and Cymberly Carlson, N.Y. and Sam, Angela, & George Colpetzer, Pa.

The Seacord family and JMS thank all the buyers and bidders in today’s sale. We at JMS / AJCA sincerely wish Richard and Brian all the best as they move on to new endeavors, and appreciate them letting us work with them on selling the cattle they worked hard at breeding with great success.
