The Buckeye Classic Spring Jersey Sale was held this evening in conjunction with the Ohio Spring Dairy Expo in Columbus, Ohio. Jersey Marketing Service was happy to co-manage this event with the Buckeye Dairy Club.
A total of 30 head went through the ring and with bidding help from the crowd and the internet, averaged $2,143. Buyers were from five different states, including Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin. Internet bidders bought 17 head through JerseyAuctionLive.com.
Lot 30 was the top selling lot of the Buckeye Classic Spring Jersey Sale. She sold to Clear View Jerseys LLC from Orient, Ohio for $4,100. Lavon Farms Bailey was consigned by Lavon Farms, Emory, Texas.
Lot 27, Lavon Farms Eclipes 9791, also consigned by Lavon Farms, was the second high selling lot of the evening. Allyn Paulson, Juneau, Wis., purchased her for $4,000.





The 2015 Pot O’Gold sale was held the evening of November 7, as part of the Jersey youth activities at the All American Jersey show. A total of 33 head were sold to Junior Jersey breeders, averaging $4,487.



The Jerseyland California Gold Sale, held in Hilmar, Calif., on October 24, was a combination online and live sale. Final live bidding was hosted by Hilmar Cheese Co., with a small crowd in the room, on phones and on live internet bid feed.
A chill in the air reminded attendees of the Ohio Fall Production Sale in Wooster, Ohio, that it is fall! 163 head of milk cows, bred heifers, open heifers and bulls went through the sale ring at the Wayne County Fairgrounds, averaging $1,554.51.
