National Heifer Sale is an annual event, a highlight of the AJCA / NAJ Annual Meetings each summer. This year’s event is in East Peoria, Ill. We look forward to visiting with the Jersey breeders who are able to attend, and will miss those who cannot.

National Heifer Sale will be an all virtual event again this year and will be broadcast LIVE on JerseyAuctionLive.com, beginning at 7:30 p.m. (CDT) on June 26, 2015. The NHS catalog can be viewed online, including a lot that was added after the printing of the catalog.

Videos of all the heifer consignments have been taken and are currently being edited. As they are completed, they will be added to the JMS Vimeo album, NHS. You can check back often today and tomorrow for the full consignment video library!

It’s sale day at the Ohio Spring Classic Sale, held at the Shelby County Fairgrounds in Sidney, Ohio. Sale time is 11:00 a.m. (EDT) A great group of type, production, genomics, and cow families are all represented.

JMS Sale Week Wrap-Ups: Wisconsin State Sale / Prairieland Production Sale

This week was busy with Jersey Marketing Service. We had two mid-west sales this week, in Iowa and Wisconsin!

Tuesday, May 12 marked the closing of the Wisconsin State Jersey Sale, hosted on Jersey Bid. The sale, featuring production, genomics, individuals and groups, cows and heifers. Bidding opened with the online sale host site, JerseyBid.com on May 4 with final bidding on Tuesday.

A total of 24 live head were purchased online, including four Badger Treasure calves for junior members. The average was $2,604, with buyers from Kansas, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The top selling lot was Lot 1 – Jessie James Nikon Trudy 8705-P, consigned by Jim & Jessica Engel of Kewaunee, Wis. The October polled, genomic tested heifer had Heartland Nathan Texas-ET as her 3rd dam. Heartland Jerseys out bid the competition to own the heifer at $2,700.

Prairieland Production Sale – IN PICTURES!
