Cow families are deep in many pedigrees, with National Show winnings and notable production records also. The sale will be Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. (EDT) at Scenic Valley Farm in West Salem, Ohio. This year’s sale will be a live sale, with all lots being lead though the ring, with live broadcast and bidding on JerseyAuctionLive.com.
If you are attending the sale and would like to partake in the dinner, tickets are available at the door for $25.

The inaugural Buckeye Production Sale was held in Wooster, Ohio at the Wayne County Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 16., 2018. The sale featured the dispersal of Rudy Hoschstetler’s Registered Jersey herd from Millersburg, Ohio, as well as consignments from Jersey breeders in OH, PA, TN and WV.
A total of 168 head went through the JMS sale ring, for an average of $1034.
Several head sold above $1500, but topping the sale was Lot 58, JX Cantendo Legal Radiant {3}, at $1700 The milk cow was consigned by Rudy Hochstetler, and was purchased by Pine Tree Dairy of Rittman, Ohio. The second high selling lot was 142 from Gaby Jersey Farm, Greeneville, Tenn. Nico DeBoer of Chandler, Tx., purchased the bred heifer for $1600.
The volume buyer of the sale was Nico DeBoer, with other buyers supporting the sale from MI, NY, OH, PA and WV.
The Buckeye Production Sale will be held in Wooster, Ohio, at the Wayne County Fairgrounds, TOMORROW – Saturday, June 16. The auction will begin at 11:00 a.m. (EDT) with milk cows, and the Rudy Hochstetler herd from Millersburg, Ohio will be featured. All ages of Registered Jerseys will be available for sale, milking and dry cows, springers and bred heifers, breeding aged heifers, young open heifers and baby calves.
This sale will NOT be broadcast for live bidding, but any member of the sale staff will be willing to help you with your bidding if you are unable to attend the sale in person!

The Buckeye Production Sale was recently added to the JMS Sale Calendar. The Wayne County Fairgrounds in Wooster, Ohio, is again our gracious host for this event.
Close to 150 head are cataloged, with over 30 currently being processed for fly sheet additions, and featuring the dispersal of 70 head from the Rudy Hochstetler herd from Millersburg, Ohio. Consignments will be coming from great production based breeders in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.
