This is a great group of cattle to add deep pedigrees to your herd, with 100 years of Jersey history. Cows and springing heifers will sell on May 12, starting at 10:30 a.m. (CDT), at the free stall facility. The farm is located 1½ miles N of Westby on Hwy. 14, then right on Lovaas Ridge Rd 1¼ mile. New York Next Generation Sale

New York’s Next Generation Sale was held in Bath, N.Y., at the Steuben County Fairgrounds. The New York Jersey Breeders not only provided quality consignments, but helped to coordinate the event. Cattle were sold at the fairgrounds and online, with the online lots selling from their home farms. 121 head were struck off by the auctioneer’s gavel, showing an average of $1213.64.

Kevetta Citation A Victory-ET, Lot 34S, was the high selling lot of the sale. She was consigned by Tyler Herrington, Dansville, N.Y., and was purchased for $4,400 by Dream Road Jerseys, Johnstown, N.Y.

Volume buyers of the day were Jeff Adams from Washington (31 head), and Creek Bottom Farms of Pennsylvania (30 head). In addition to WA and PA, buyers are taking New York genetics to IN, MD, NY, OH, and WI.
