OHIO SPRING CLASSIC SALE – ONLINE LOTS
The Ohio Spring Classic Sale will be on Memorial Day, May 25, 2015. Join JMS and the Ohio Jersey Breeders Association the night before (6:30 p.m.) for fun, food, fellowship and cattle viewing at the Shelby County Fairgrounds in Sidney, Ohio. Then come back the next morning (11:00 a.m.) for an action packed event! The sale will be streamed and available for LIVE bidding on Jersey Auction Live.
Pre-bidding on some lots is happening right now on JerseyBid.com, a JMS online sale host program. Bidding online closes at 10:00 a.m., with final bidding concluding during the live sale. Check out the embryos, semen, bred heifers and NEWLY ADDED – Hand Painted Flower Pots! Ladies – Get in early!
The flower pots will be decorating the ring on Monday, as in the past. Hand painted by Randi Dibert, an active former Junior member herself, all proceeds go to the Ohio Junior Jersey Breeders Association. Bid online now, and LIVE bidding will start (after the cow sale) where the last bid online left off at 10:00 a.m. that morning. Fear not – You don’t have to be in attendance at the fairgrounds to bid! This week was busy with Jersey Marketing Service. We had two mid-west sales this week, in Iowa and Wisconsin!
Tuesday, May 12 marked the closing of the Wisconsin State Jersey Sale, hosted on Jersey Bid. The sale, featuring production, genomics, individuals and groups, cows and heifers. Bidding opened with the online sale host site, JerseyBid.com on May 4 with final bidding on Tuesday.
A total of 24 live head were purchased online, including four Badger Treasure calves for junior members. The average was $2,604, with buyers from Kansas, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The top selling lot was Lot 1 – Jessie James Nikon Trudy 8705-P, consigned by Jim & Jessica Engel of Kewaunee, Wis. The October polled, genomic tested heifer had Heartland Nathan Texas-ET as her 3rd dam. Heartland Jerseys out bid the competition to own the heifer at $2,700.

The Prairieland Production Sale is TOMORROW, Saturday, May 16, 2015. Milk cows will begin the sale at 11:00 a.m. (CDT), followed by bred heifers, dry cows and 2 breeding aged bulls. The Prairieland Production Sale will be held at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in West Union, Iowa and will be broadcast on JerseyAuctionLive.com for live internet bidding.

A nice group of animals have been collected, featuring type and production, show winnings and genomics. The sale will be at the Shelby County Fairgrounds, Sidney, Ohio, on Memorial Day, May 25, 2015. It will start at 11:00 a.m. (EDT) and live bidding through Jersey Auction Live will be available.

Pre-bidding on embryos, semen, and a small group of heifers will begin on Monday, May 18, 2015 on the Jersey Bid sale program. All lots carrying at least one bid at 10:00 a.m. (EDT) on sale day will move to the live sale line-up, beginning at 11:00 a.m. If a lot does not have at least one bid online, you will not have the opportunity to bid on it, as it then becomes a no-sale.
A feature in the online sale is an APOLLO XR 16A semen tank and inventory.
The Wisconsin State Jersey Sale is open for bidding on Jersey Bid.
The state sale is an ALL ONLINE sale – including 4 Badger Treasure Sale calves, groups and individuals of cows, springing heifers and genomic open heifers, as well as an IVF embryo package.

Bidding is open – 24 / 7 – from May 4 until May 12. The sale close out time begins at 1:30 p.m. (EDT) and will have a Horse Race Style Closing.
