We are also taking consignment nominations for National Heifer Sale, to be held in conjunction with the AJCA-NAJ Annual Meetings / 150th Anniversary and the World Conference. The meetings will be in Canton, Ohio and the sale will be nearby on THURSDAY, JUNE 26 @ 7:00 p.m. (EDT). Heifers will be on site and will be sold through the sale ring.

The Ohio Spring Classic Sale was held at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Wooster, Ohio today, with 128 lots going through the ring, averaging $2119.

Lot 45 was the top seller of the day, consigned by River Valley Farm in Tremont, Ill. River Valley Genie Spice 1664-ET sold to Sam, Angela and George Colpetzer, Greenville, Pa., for $9000.

Lot 19, from Lindsays Pine Hill Jersey Farm, New Waterford, Ohio, was the second high seller. JX Pine Hill Vandrell Lumber {3} brought a selling price of $7500, and sold to ST Genetics.

Lot 18 was the third high selling of the Ohio Spring Classic Sale, from Albright Jerseys LLC, Willard, Ohio. JX AJ Avon 3258 {3} was purchased by ST Genetics for $7200.

Consignors sent cattle from seven different states, for both a tie-up and “commercial” format of the sale combined. Buyers were from 13 different states, from Maine to Oklahoma. Adrie Vanderjagt of Sulphur Springs, Texas was the volume buyer.

The Ohio Spring Classic Sale is in Wooster, Ohio this year, at the Wayne County Fairgrounds. The sale will begin at 11:00 a.m. (EDT) with the tie-up portion of the sale, followed by the loose housing cattle. Ohio Spring Classic Sale Catalog Available

The Ohio Spring Classic Sale catalog is now available to view and download online. The sale has moved its location to Wooster, Ohio this year, being held at the Wayne County Fairgrounds on May 29, 2017. The sale, featuring tied-up cattle as well as those in loose housing, will begin at 11:00 a.m. (EDT) and will be broadcast live on JerseyAuctionLive.com.

Ohio Classic BannerThe Ohio Spring Classic Sale was held today at the Shelby County Fairgrounds in Sidney, Ohio. JMS hosted the sale in conjunction with the Ohio Jersey Breeders Association. The sale average, on 70 lots of embryos, semen and cattle, was $2,521.80.
