The Northeast Jersey Classic and Breeders Sale is in Rutland, VT this year, and is adopting a new format into the events this year. About 30 head of milk cows, genomic heifers, bred heifers, project calves, and show prospects are available, in addition to the 225 head of quality heifers selling in a commercial setting.

We are thinking spring at the Northeast Jersey Classic and Breeders Sale this week – thinking it, because feeling like spring hasn’t been in the weather just yet!
In a new location with a new sale format, the Northeast Jersey Classic and Breeders Sale is stationed in Rutland, VT and features a select group of tie-up heifers and cows as a showcase, with close to 200 head of all aged heifers selling in the commercial format.

There are roughly 43 2nd Trimester and 34 3rd Trimester heifers to go through the ring on Saturday. Some are very close to calving!Click on this picture to see the video of the 1st Trimester heifers and the heifers who have been serviced, but are “To Close To Call” for a positive pregnancy diagnosis. Close to 14 1st Trimester heifers and about 20 “TCTC” heifers will sell on Saturday.Breeding age heifers are part of this video (click on the picture). The 109 or so Open heifers are visually divided into the breeding age group and the younger group, featured on a seperate video.The younger open heifers (click on the picture for the video) are small in size, but mighty in number. Grouped with the older open heifers, the groups number around 109 strong.
