Wisconsin State Sale to Close Bidding Today

The Wisconsin State Sale will close bidding TODAY at 1:30 p.m. Central Time.

A great selection of Open Heifers, Bred Heifers, Milk Cows, Embryos, Genomics, Pedigrees and Cow Families fill this years online sale with quality. There are also four Badger Treasure Sale Calves, for junior members to add to their herds.

Check out the sale online, where genomic numbers are updated on the performance pedigrees as of this morning. The sale catalog is available online also, but without the updates.

The Wisconsin State Sale is currently open online, with bidding to close at 1:30 p.m. CDT, Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Cows, bred heifers, open heifers, genomics, show prospects, embryos and Badger Treasure Sale calves are all available. Groups and individuals are available to fill however many stalls you have available!

All pedigrees are online, within the Jersey Bid program. Genomic information will update on those pedigrees on Tuesday morning, so keep your eye’s peeled! A full catalog can also be downloaded from http://jms.usjersey.com/WisconsinStateSale.

New York Spring Sale

The New York Next Generation Sale is also open for bidding online. The sale will have two parts, the online sale and the live sale.

The online sale, currently open for bidding on Jersey Bid, features embryos, cows, bred heifers, and open heifers. There are groups of cattle and individual lots available. Any lots with bids at 4:30 p.m. EST on Friday, May 9, 2014 will be able to be moved to the live sale for final bidding. All those without bids will be considered a no-sale.

Live cattle will be moving to the Steuben County Fairgrounds in Bath, NY starting on Tuesday. Watch for more from the sale at that time.

With the audience attending the events at the fairgrounds, we will also be offering bidding to interested bidders who cannot make the trip with the Jersey Auction Live broadcast program.

Individuals and pen lots, genomics, show type and production…the possiblities are endless. This sale will be hosted on Jersey Bid starting on April 28 and will close bidding on May 6, 2014.

New York Spring SaleAlso with a name, venue and format change is the New York Next Generation Sale, May 9 at 5:00 p.m. A portion of the cattle will be at the Bath, NY location of the Steuben County Fairgrounds, with the remaining cattle being sold by video on JerseyBid.com. All online cattle carrying a bid on May 9 will carry over into the live sale, also broadcast for bidding and viewing on JerseyAuctionLive.com.

Prairieland BannerIn its second year, we welcome the consignors and buyers of the Prairieland Production Sale in West Union, Iowa. We will be focusing on production for this sale, and stay tuned as consignments are still being compiled.

Ohio Classic BannerThe Ohio Spring Classic Sale is a great place to find show cattle, type, production and genomics. Held on May 26, 2014 – Memorial Day – we will be using JerseyBid.com and JerseyAuctionLIve.com online services for this sale in Sidney, OH.

The May Jersey Bid online auction will be May 19-27.

CA Gold Sale Finished!

CA Gold Sale

The California Gold Sale has been completed. With help from many people in attendance at the College of Sequoias – Tulare, CA, and online, starting on Jersey Bid and finishing with Jersey Auction Live, a total of 295 head sold for an average of $2042.20.

Two genomic heifers sold. Ahlem Marcin Cayman 42191 sold for $8000 to Sexing Technologies, TX and was consigned to the sale from William Ahlem, Jr., CA. Wicks Marvel 4951-ET sold for $3500 to Matthew Evangelo, CA. She was consigned by Wickstrom Bros., CA.

Group lots from Charles Ahlem, James Ahlem, William Ahlem, Jr., Dan and Melissa Costa, Phil Fanelli and Family, Red Top Jerseys, Wickstrom Jersey Farm, Wickstrom Brothers, and Jer-Z-Boyz all sold. The groups ranged in number of head between 8 and 49.

There are 7 nice genomic heifers with AI Interest expressed and 16 group lots of production cattle. The production lots range between 8 and 50 head of 1st, 2nd, 3rd lactation Jerseys. Videos of the heifers and the group lots are available at the auction site.

Bidding will be open on Jersey Bid until 3:30 p.m. (PDT) Saturday, February 15, 2014. All lots with a bid will then be offered at the live action starting at 4:00 p.m. at the College of the Sequoias, Tulare College Center, Tulare, CA. Bidding can also be done through Jersey Auction Live if you cannot visit the sale in person.

All cattle are housed at their home farms, unless noted otherwise, and can be moved as soon as payment is received and/or health tests are finalized, if applicable.
