The Kentucky National Jersey Sale concluded with an exciting day of bidding. A group of great consignments, along with a competitive crowd in Louisville, Ky. and on the internet, allowed the 52 head selling to average $2,138.
Top selling lot was Lot 44 – Millers Tradition Fascination, consigned by the Dick Miller Family of Indiana. She is due in June to “Showdown” and is out of the “Farrah” family. Jason Nagel of New York purchased this bred heifer for $6800.
The second top-selling lot of the sale was the Junior Champion of the show, Lot 14 – Winterplace Look Out Glass, from Neal Smith, Ohio. This summer yearling was purchased by Jack and Kelly Baird, Taylorsville, Ky., for $4300.
Seven lots sold for over $3000. Buyers from 14 different states purchased cattle from today’s sale.
