Around 290 head of cows and bred and open heifers are set to go through the ring. Bids will be taken from the audience, or from online bidders watching the LIVE broadcast on Jersey Auction Live, or from bids given to sale staff in absentee. Roughly 58 open heifers, 11 heifers with their breeding dates “too close to call” a pregnancy, 64 bred heifers in their 1st trimester, 64 heifers in their 2nd trimester and 92 3rd trimester heifers or dry cows. 37 milking cows are also offered.

There are notable genomic numbers in some of the pedigrees, some type that could be a project heifer for a young Jersey breeder to start their herd, but there is A LOT of production. These Jersey and cross-bred consignments will make money by putting milk in the tank for their new owners.
