The National Heifer Sale consignments on location at the CDFD-Exum Calf Facility are adjusting well to the wind, sunshine and heat of Dalhart, TX! Haircuts are progressing and the cattle will be ready for convention attendees to view on Thursday!

The June Jersey Bid Auction closes on Tuesday, June 25 – starting at 1:30 p.m. (EST).
Be sure to place your bids on the Open and Bred Heifer offerings. Embryos and Semen are available. Genomic Tested Bulls are for sale for use in your herd also.

The maternal sister to Lot 100’s embryos was just scored Very Good-88%!
The 2013 National Heifer Sale will be held in Amarillo, TX and will be the first ever all virtual offering during sale day!

All heifers will be sold via Jersey Auction Live on Saturday, June 29, 2013 starting at 3:30 p.m. Continue to watch the JMS blog for video entries from all the consignments to the all Genomic tested group of heifers for this years’ sale! Many heifers will still make the trip to Texas, to the CDFD-EXUM calf facility, to be viewed during a tour on June 27. All other heifers will be able to be viewed on their videos. Videos of ALL heifers will be shown during the convention and will be able to be viewed online before the sale. If you do not have a bidder number for Jersey Auction Live, please remember to sign up and sign in on sale day to watch the sale and BID LIVE on the heifer you want to take home! On a great weather day in Sugarcreek, OH the Dean Putt family saw their Jersey herd be dispersed to 38 different buyers from five different states. The sale averaged $1400.99 on 151 head, including the 15 guest consignments.
Top Selling individual was Lot 1178, a BHF-SSF Parade Louie daughter due in December to Eclipses-P. She sold for $2500 to Sam Bok, OH
Second High sellers were Lots 28, 810.
Lot 28 – A VG-86% “Seize The Moment” 2-Year-Old, Fresh in September 2012 and Due back in September 2013 to “TBone Polo”. She was purchased by Gary Coppersmith, OH for $2450.
Lot 810 – is an E-90% “Legionaire” 5-Year-Old Fresh December 2012 and due in November to “Dignitary”. She made 65 lbs on her May test. Rohrer Farms Inc, OH purchased her for $2450.
