New York Next Generation Sale

New York’s Next Generation Sale was held in Bath, N.Y., at the Steuben County Fairgrounds. The New York Jersey Breeders not only provided quality consignments, but helped to coordinate the event. Cattle were sold at the fairgrounds and online, with the online lots selling from their home farms. 121 head were struck off by the auctioneer’s gavel, showing an average of $1213.64.

Kevetta Citation A Victory-ET, Lot 34S, was the high selling lot of the sale. She was consigned by Tyler Herrington, Dansville, N.Y., and was purchased for $4,400 by Dream Road Jerseys, Johnstown, N.Y.

Volume buyers of the day were Jeff Adams from Washington (31 head), and Creek Bottom Farms of Pennsylvania (30 head). In addition to WA and PA, buyers are taking New York genetics to IN, MD, NY, OH, and WI.

New York Next Generation Sale

The New York Next Generation Sale is gearing up, with 50 + lots being clipped and prepped at the Steuben County Fairgrounds in Bath, N.Y., while over 70 lots (groups and individuals) are still at their farms throughout New York state.

The “on farm” lots are available for pre-bidding on www.jerseybid.com NOW! Cattle with minimum bids MUST meet that bid before 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, in order to move to the live sale conclusion. All eligible lots will be available to have final bids placed during the LIVE sale in Bath, N.Y., or on JerseyAuctionLive‘s LIVE broadcast and bidding coverage of the entire sale.

Cataloged Lots 1 – 61 have their videos on the Facebook pages of New York Jersey Breeders or Jersey Marketing Service.

Northeast Jersey Sale Concludes

The Northeast Jersey Classic & Breeders Sale was held in Wallingford, VT at the farm of Gerald and Diane Colvin. A warm, sunny day with a bit of a breeze brought out a great crowd! With heifers and three cows housed in pasture and tie-up settings, a total of 274 head went through the ring for an average of $1399.64.

Buyers from 10 different states purchased from the breeders of the Northeast. Creek Bottom Farm, Pa., was the volume buyer.

Top seller, men pictured above, was Lot 8. Mapleline Citation Barbara was consigned by Paul & John Kokoski, Hadley, Mass. Poulin Farms of Newport, Vt., purchased the heifer for $4,400. Mapleline Farm is represented by John Kokoski on the left and herdsman Jason Johnson on the right. Josh Poulin is the gentleman in the center.

Second high seller was Lot 3, consigned by Billings Farm & Museum, Woodstock, Vt . For $3,700, Billings Joel Salsa-ET was purchased by Poulin Farms.
