Dairyland Protein Sale Wrap-up

Today was a cloudy, sometimes rainy, humid day in Janesville, WI for the Dairyland Protein Sale. The largest crowd we have had for this sale series was in attendance.

The sale featured a larger group of consignments from the David Allen and Roger Camp herds, as well as many other quality consignments from notable breeders. A total of 151 lots sold for an average of $1,483.

The top lot was Lot #114 which was consigned by Roger Camp, WI and purchased by Eric Evans of Buhl, ID for $7, 550. A Galaxies Celebrity daughter, this Excellent cow was fresh in February and is due again in April. Her 2-3 record was over 23,000M and over 1000F. A strong family pedigree backs this quality milk cow.

Second highest was lot #134, consigned by Roger Camp, WI, purchased by Shot of Nat, WI for $5,550. An April, 2013 “Topeka” daughter, her dam is a full sister to the high selling cow.

Thank you to all the bidders, buyers and consigners to this great fall production sale series.

The Ohio Fall Production Sale is next on the JMS calendar. This sale will be on October 19, at 11:00 am at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Wooster, OH.

The Top of the World Sale was a well attended event with great crowd in the Estrumate Sale Pavillion at Madison, WI. The 33 total lots of live cattle, embryos, choices and semen sold for an average of $2,562.12
