A full tent of Northeast Jersey Breeders met at Gerald and Diane Colvin’s Jersey farm on Saturday, April, 28 for the Northeast Jersey Classic and Breeders Sale. The rain held off for the sale, allowing the 205 head of loose housed and tie-up sale cattle to get through the sale ring, averaging $990.12.
JX Holmesland Harris Bargain {5}, Lot 13, topped the sale for consignor Steven and Jeffery Holmes, Landon, NH. For $4000, Sheldon Sawyer of Walpole, NH took this beautiful cow home.

The next top selling lot came from Lucky Hill Farm in Danville, Vt. They consigned Lot 4, Lucky Hill Whatchamacallit-ET, a genomic tested bred heifer who sold to Scott & Heidi Mason of N. Stratford, NH for $3500.

Lots 1 and 9 sold for $3100. Lot 1 hailed from Lucky Hill Farm in Danville, Vt. She has made her new home with Gary and Debbie Moore, Greenwich, NY. Lot 9 was from Sterling Richardson, Craftsbury Common, Vt., and sold to Kevin Mansfield, Amsterdam, NY.
Cattle sold throughout New England, New York, Michigan, California, Indiana, Kansas and Texas. The volume buyer was Adrie Vanderjagt of Texas, with 56 head. A total of 35 different buyers placed final bids on the consignments.
